CPR Instructor Courses

Do I need to be monitored while teaching my first class?

As part of the instructor course, monitoring will take place in a class during the afternoon of the instructor course. You will teach a small section of the BLS or Heartsaver class. This will count as your initial monitoring. I'm always available to speak with you about becoming an instructor and answering any of your questions. Please feel free to contact me at (213) 839-8654.  If I'm in a class and you get my voicemail, please leave me a message, and I'll return your call as soon as I can. I always return calls the same day. Thanks, Yasmin

Must instructor classes be done in person?

Due to AHA guidelines, we are no longer offering virtual instructor classes. They now must be completed in person. I do have local classes in the Beaumont California area.  See my schedule below https://cprsocal.com

Why do I need to bring someone with me to class?

The American Heart Association mandates that your initial class must be monitored in-person within six months. To alleviate any stress associated with meeting this deadline, we've incorporated this requirement into the instructor class, ensuring it's fulfilled on the same day. After successfully completing the instructor class, your certification remains valid for two years, and you are free to begin teaching at your convenience. You'll need to bring someone along to the instructor class who'll act as your student. During the afternoon session, you'll conduct a teaching segment, which will be considered your initial monitoring. This is a necessary step to fulfill the instructor qualification process. Please provide the participant's name and email address at least three days before the class. This individual must complete an online course before the class day. They should be present at the class by 3 pm on the day of the instructor class. As a benefit, they will receive a BLS provider certification at a significantly reduced rate equal to the cost of the online key code plus the ecard.
